Workbench assembly
Complete assembly with lumber, sheet panels, and caster placeholders. Model coordinates are in inches.
A rolling timber workbench with an 8-foot worktop, a lower storage shelf, and diagonal bracing.
Complete assembly with lumber, sheet panels, and caster placeholders. Model coordinates are in inches.
Four timber legs support a two-layer worktop, with a lower shelf for storage. Long rails and end rails connect the legs at both levels, while diagonal braces run across the back and each end. Notched cleats sit alongside the legs beneath the rails.
| Detail | Modeled dimension / quantity |
|---|---|
| Worktop footprint | 96 × 37 in |
| Overall height, including caster placeholders | 41.61 in |
| Legs | Four, 3½ × 3½ × 33 in |
| Rails and diagonal braces | 1½ × 3½ in cross-section |
| Wide leg cleats | 1½ × 5 in cross-section |
| Worktop layers | ¾ in lower layer plus ½ in upper layer |
| Lower shelf | ¾ in thick, with four 3½ × 3½ in corner cutouts |
| Lumber members | 31 |
| Sheet panels | 3 |
The wide cleats need stock ripped to the modeled width. The cleats also have end notches, and each diagonal brace has two cut faces at each end; those shapes are shown in the assembly. The sheet panels are represented by their dimensions without a specified sheet material.
Open the workbench cut plan for lumber lengths, quantities, stock allocation, and cutting diagrams. Brace entries are blanks for subsequent end shaping; notches, ripping, and sheet-panel cuts are separate operations.
The four rectangular blocks beneath the legs represent GBL 6-inch casters, supplied as a set of four with two brakes and mounting screws. These blocks show the casters' placement in the assembly rather than their detailed wheel and mounting geometry.
The download contains the complete workbench assembly, including the frame, worktop, shelf, and caster placeholders. Model coordinates are in inches; select inches when importing the STL into software that asks for a unit.
